Ismael Alba couldn't find a restaurant in New York that he felt captured the true experience and authentic cuisine of his native Argentina. So in 2006, he opened up Buenos Aires Restaurant in New York City's East Village, and our journey began.
Buenos Aires, features classic Argentine cuisine with a heavy focus on steaks that pair amazingly well with our signature chimichurri sauce, and to ensure quality and preserve the authentic argentine experience, all meat is imported directly from Argentina. The grass-fed, hormone-free, antibiotic-free meat is world-renowned for being some of the best in the world.
Besides the amazing steaks, we wanted to bring the full Argentine experience to the city, and that includes classic Argentine goods like yerba mate, dulce de leche, and alfajores for everyone to enjoy. To do so, Buenos Aires Restaurant created the Buenos Aires Market. Our mission is to deliver high-quality imported argentine goods and meats to our customers for them to experience the wonders of Argentina, and keeping home close to Argentinians in New York.
